TeraMedica
TeraMedica Healthcare Technology, a privately held company, was formed in 2001 to advance a research project initiated at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. The challenge was to develop a clinical image archive that could accommodate the size of Mayo’s practice – one of the largest in the country – and provide access to images for clinicians wherever and whenever it was needed. TeraMedica developed the easy-to-use, robust, reliable solution that healthcare enterprises across the country have come to rely on.
TeraMedica set up offices in the Milwaukee County Research Park. The decision to locate TeraMedica in the Milwaukee area was due to the large talent pool of medical technology specialists in the region. The team at TeraMedica continues to experience exciting challenges and business growth and has delivered many successive versions of software to the market incorporating a complete upgrade path in each release.
TeraMedica Healthcare Technology has long been a proponent of the development and advancement of industry standards for the open integration of clinical and diagnostic imaging systems.
